So you purchased a domain name for your website, and you want a custom email address under that domain. But the registrar requires you to pay for the email hosting monthly. Though they are usually cheap, paying for email hosting monthly when you can use that custom email address for free would be impractical, especially if you are a small business site owner or the like. Forwarding email addresses won't look good either, as when you reply, the Sent From would show the email address the email has been forwarded to. Solution? Simple. Use Gmail.

Free VISA Card from Cashsense Philippines (How To Get Yours)
Today I received my VISA card from Cashsense without paying for anything. Since 2006, Cashsense Philippines has helped Filipinos online in a lot of ways -- online remittances, electronic cash for online purchases, and online payroll systems. I've read about Cashsense months ago while bloghopping. Lately, I was approached by their staff and from there I knew that you can get a VISA card from them for free.

To Two Great Pioneers: Thank you, Steve Jobs and Dennis Ritchie
This has been a disheartening October to all of us. As most of you may already know, we lost a great visionary who has changed the way most of us live today. That is Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, Inc. and the mastermind to all the i's in the world - the iPod, iPhone, iPad, and the list goes on. Unknowingly to most, we lost another pioneer who also had contributed greatly to the software and application development industry. He is no other than Dennis Ritchie, the creator of the C programming language, and one of the main developers for the UNIX system.

TEDxDiliman: How Art and Culture Can Change Our World
TEDxDiliman is a TEDx event held at UP Diliman yesterday, October 8. TED has been one of the major influences why I blog. The first TED video I ever watched was that of Pranav Mistry's SixthSense which led me to post this article titled "SixthSense: Your Digital Life Anytime, Anywhere!" Its tagline, Ideas Worth Spreading, has inspired me to share substantial knowledge I've gained which is what I'm doing on this blog.

Dream Recording: Brain Imaging Will Reveal The Movies In Our Mind
Have you ever dreamed of remembering the dreams you had last night? Well, in the near future we will have the ability to record our dreams for us to rewatch later. The researchers from the Gallant Lab at University of California, Berkley made this possible using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and other computational models where our visual experiences are recorded and decoded using our brain activity and reconstructed to video clips.

Exploring OddCast: Text to Speech, 3D Photo Face, & Augmented Reality
I'm not sure how many of you have already heard about OddCast. I first discovered about it while bloghopping; I saw a widget from a blog that translates languages and pronounces the translations for you. You can choose from a number of characters available, male or female, with options like pronouncing English the American way or the English (UK) way. Enthusiastic I was, I went to their main site and discovered a lot more technologies from them.

uCertify PrepKit for EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH)
uCertify is a preparation kit software provider for IT certification exams. As we all know, IT is a vast world where fields could stretch out to different sub-fields and may fall to a thousand categories (and sub-categories). On the other hand, getting certifications for your skills has turned from fancying your resume to being a requirement by most employers. This is probably also related to the numerous IT degree programs and certifications easily accessible online.
That is why it is indeed an integral part to have a trusted resource of information to be prepared with before taking the exams. I was asked by uCertify to test one of their PrepKits, and I chose their prep kit for EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker certification exam: E312-50.

Protecting Your Online Content: Five (5) More Things You Still Need To Do
60,000 new websites are added to the web everyday. Google's total indexed pages reached 14.41 billion pages on 2011. In addition to that, there are an estimated of 1.6 million blog posts published daily. That is half a billion new blog posts every year. This is how active online publishers are. The web has been a great medium to voice out ideas, to spread the latest news, and to reach out to the world. However, it has become a haven for an uncontrollable, more often untraced, content distribution.

Planking Gone Viral on Philippine Schools and Universities, Beware.
I'm not quite sure if that warning goes to the university administrators OR to the students who indulge themselves to planking activities during free time (or during class hours). But without a doubt, planking has been popular on schools and universities recently - up to the point where the administrators need to implement suspensions to those who were caught in the act of planking on school premises.

Superb Internet - Web Hosting & Dedicated Servers: A Glimpse
Superb Internet was founded on 1996 by a then 16-year old Haralds Jass. From humble beginnings, the company which was created due to hosting servers' common problems those days, grew to over 400 servers by the year 1999. Their history is quite remarkable. But what we're going to see this time is its present state. Will they pass this review?

What's Your Excuse for Not Living Your Dreams?
Making excuses is an easy task compared to doing the things we need to do. Most of us don't seem to notice but excuses could ruin your dreams. By making excuses, we are diverting our attention to other nonsensical things that could not help us reach our goals. What's worse is when you make it a habit to make excuses.

Technology is Technically Easy to Understand
We techies raise our eyebrows everytime we encounter modern people who are so against the use of technology. Worst cases are when these people are having conflicts with you because of that matter. I myself had experienced arguing with old geezers just because they don't understand what I'm doing in front of the computer.
