Coursera: Free Online Courses from Top Universities

Since the boom of the internet, access to information has transformed from having to visit the nearest library, search for books, and log them to your library card - to just sitting in front of your computer and click through Google, and now even a tap away on your smartphone. Today, access to education doesn't require too much effort and expense - thanks to online courses.

If you are an information geek, you may have been aware of open course wares. These are online course programs that you can take for free - anywhere, as long as you have an access to a computing device and a fast internet connection that could load videos smoothly. Coursera is one of them.

Coursera, on the other hand, is powered by not only one education institution - but by 33 top universities around the world, administered by world-class professors.
